SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 9th, 2020 the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Sarah F. Benson of Putney, Vermont for Assaulting a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. At approximately 1955 hours an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Benson’s vehicle for a violation on Hospital Court. The officer on scene was subsequently assaulted by Benson and then resisted arrest. Benson was ultimately placed in custody and was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. Benson was released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 04/07/2020. The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted by the Walpole N.H. Police Department.
