LOCATION (specific): Village of Bellows Falls 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 3rd, 2020 at approximately 1318 hours the Bellows Falls Police Department received a call regarding four dirt bikes traveling on the public highways in the Village of Bellows Falls. The Bellows Falls Police Department attempted to make contact with the operators but they fled the area. VIOLATION:2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault 

ACCUSED: Michael S. Alexander (age 49) 

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows FallsVermont 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 23rd, 2020 at approximately 2347 hours, the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Michael S. Alexander, age 49, of Bellows Falls Vermont for 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. 

Officer’s responded to a residence on Westminster St after receiving a report of a domestic assault. As a result of an investigation, Alexander was arrested and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. 

At the completion of processing Alexander was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on 03/24/2020 to answer to the charge of 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. Alexander was ordered held without bail and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 27th, 2020 the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Joseph A. Romano, 42, of Bellows Falls on two outstanding arrest warrants out of Vermont. At approximately 2144 hours officers responded to Depot Street for a report of a disturbance. Officers identified Romano as a person of interest and determined that he was wanted. Romano was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $51,000 bail.

VIOLATION: Driving Under the Influence

ACCUSED: Kaylyn M. Finnell (age 20)                                          

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Walpole, New Hampshire           

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 16th, 2020 at approximately 0011 hours, the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Kaylyn M. Finnell, age 20, of Walpole New Hampshire for driving under the influence.

Finnell’s vehicle was stopped on Rockingham St after an officer observed a motor vehicle violation. After meeting with Finnell the officer observed signs of impairment and Standardized Field Sobriety Test’s were administered. At the completion of the test’s Finnell was arrested for DUI.

Finnell was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion of processing she was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on 04/28/2020 to answer to the charge of DUI.

DATE/TIME:03/21/2020 at approximately 0255 hours

LOCATION (specific): Rockingham St and Williams St/Williams St Ext. 

VIOLATIONS: Operating without owners consent, Assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon, Attempting to Elude. 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 21st, 2020 at approximately 0255 hours the Bellows Falls Police Department attempted to effect an arrest on the operator of a vehicle reported to be stolen from the Town of Springfield, Vermont. The operator of the vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed in the vehicle and struck a police vehicle while attempting to elude. The operator abandoned the vehicle on Williams St Ext. and left the scene on foot. The Bellows Falls Police Department is looking for assistance with making contact with a Zacharie Hart, 24, of Springfield, VT in regards to this incident. Anyone who has information about this incident or has information on Hart's whereabouts is urged to contact the Bellows Falls Police Department at 802-463-1234. The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted by the Walpole N.H. Police Department and the Vermont State Police.

UPDATE:

On March 26th, 2020 Hart was arrested by the Springfield Police Department on an unrelated outstanding warrant. At this time there was probable cause to believe Hart had committed the above offenses and was cited and ultimately lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.
