LOCATION (specific): Rockingham Street 

VIOLATION:Trafficking Heroin 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: An 18-year-old female has been cited into Vermont Superior Court – Windham Family Division for Trafficking Heroin following a traffic stop on June 7th, 2020 on Rockingham Street in Bellows Falls.  

At approximately 2226 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation which ultimately led to the seizure of the female occupant’s purse for the purpose of an application for a search warrant.   

On June 10th, 2020 the search warrant was approved and was executed. During the search 1,971 bags of suspected heroin was located with a street value of approximately $19,710. The suspected heroin was sent to the Vermont Forensic Laboratory for further drug analysis.

LOCATION (specific): Westminster StBellows Falls into Rte 5, Westminster 

 

VIOLATION:Driving with a Criminally Suspended License, Providing False Information to a Police Officer 

 

ACCUSED: Daniel N. Vaine Jr. (age 24) 

 

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Putney, Vermont  

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On August 16th, 2020 at approximately 2359 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Daniel N. Vaine Jr., age 24, of Putney, Vermont for driving with a criminally suspended license and providing false information to a police officer. 

 

Vaine’s vehicle was stopped on Route 5 in Westminster after an officer observed a motor vehicle violation on Westminster St in Bellows Falls. After meeting with Vaine he provided the officer with a false name. The officer was able to recognize Vaine from prior police interactions with him. It was discovered that Vaine had a criminally suspended license. 

 

Vaine was arrested and released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on 09/22/2020.
