Forbush - DUI(4th Offense), Driving w/Criminally Suspended License & Violation of Conditions of Release

 LOCATION (specific): Rockingham St, Bellows Falls & Route 5, Rockingham                

 VIOLATION: Driving Under the Influence (4th Offense), Driving with a Criminally Suspended       License, Violation of Conditions of Release    

 ACCUSED: Elizabeth A. Forbush (age 42)                                      

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, Vermont  

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On April 20th, 2022, at approximately 2350 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Elizabeth A. Forbush, age 42, of Bellows Falls, Vermont for driving under the influence (4th offense), driving with a criminally suspended license, and violation of conditions of release.

Forbush’s vehicle was seen driving north on Rockingham St. The officer following the vehicle observed a motor vehicle violation and ultimately stopped the vehicle on Route 5 in the Town of Rockingham. After meeting with Forbush, indicators of impairment were observed. Standardized Field Sobriety Test’s were administered, and at the conclusion of the tests Forbush was arrested for DUI, DLS, and VCR.

Forbush was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion, she was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 05/03/2022 to answer to the charges.

The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted by the Walpole NH Police Department with regards to this incident.

 ACCUSED:        Nelson Kendall         Age: 36        City/State: Baltimore, VT                            

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 04/18/2022 the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Lincoln Street for a motor vehicle violation. As a result, Nelson Kendall was arrested for Driving with a Criminally Suspended License. Kendall was cited to appear in court at a later date and released.

Carleton - Possession of Cocaine & Arrest on Warrant

 LOCATION (specific): Rockingham St and Atkinson St, Bellows Falls                 

 VIOLATION: Possession of Cocaine & Arrest on Warrant 

 ACCUSED: Timothy Carleton (age 28)                                            

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, Vermont

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On February 12th, 2022, at approximately 1036 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rockingham St. After stopping the vehicle, the operator was identified as Timothy Carleton, 30, of Bellows Falls. It was subsequently discovered that Carleton had an active arrest warrant issued by the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division with bail set at $200. Carleton was arrested and placed in the police cruiser for transport to the BFPD for processing.

 Officers developed probable cause that there were illegal drugs inside of the vehicle which Carleton had been driving, and it was ultimately seized and brought to the BFPD until a search warrant was obtained. A search of the vehicle revealed cocaine inside of the vehicle. Officers attempted to locate Carleton to issue him a citation to appear to answer to the new charge, however, were unsuccessful. An arrest warrant was obtained for Carleton’s arrest for the new charge of possession of cocaine.

 On April 13th, 2022, at approximately 0231 hours, officers located Carleton walking on Atkinson St. Carleton was taken into custody and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $200 bail. Carleton was additionally cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 04/13/2022 to answer to the new charge.

 VIOLATION: Driving with a Criminally Suspended License & Arrest Warrants (3-Instate)         

 ACCUSED: Tasha C. Benware (age 36)                                           

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Brattleboro, Vermont

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On April 10th, 2022, at approximately 0136 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Hadley St for a motor vehicle violation. After stopping the vehicle, the operator was identified as Tasha C. Benware, 36, of Brattleboro. Benware’s license was discovered to be criminally suspended in the State of Vermont and it was discovered that she also had three active arrest warrants issued by the Vermont Superior Court.

 Benware was arrested and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion of processing Benware was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DLS on 04/19/2022, per the court. Benware was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility where she was lodged in lieu of $600 bail.

 VIOLATION: Negligent Operation

 ACCUSED: Kara Tallman (age 38)                                      

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, Vermont  

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 12th, 2022, at approximately 2014 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Kara Tallman, age 38, of Bellows Falls, Vermont for Negligent Operation.

 An officer observed a motor vehicle violation on a vehicle subsequently discovered to be driven by Tallman.  The officer stopped the vehicle on Bridge St and Tallman was ultimately arrested for Negligent Operation.

 

Tallman was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion of processing, Tallman was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 05/03/2022 to answer to the charges.
