ACCUSED: Ashley L. Hier (age 31)

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 17th, 2023, at approximately 2033 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Ashley L. Hier, age 31, of Bellows Falls, for DLS and VCR.

Hier was arrested and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion of processing, she was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 05/02/2023 to answer to the charges.

VIOLATION: Driving Under the Influence 

ACCUSED: Dylan J. Morsey (age 23)

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Dry Fork, VA

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 18th, 2023, at approximately 2343 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Dylan J. Morsey, age 23, of Dry Fork, Virginia for driving under the influence.

Morsey’s vehicle was stopped on Rockingham St after an officer observed a motor vehicle violation. After meeting with Morsey, indicators of impairment were observed. Standardized Field Sobriety Test’s were administered, and at the conclusion of the tests Morsey was arrested for DUI.

Morsey was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion, he was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 04/04/2023 to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence.

The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted by the Walpole (NH) Police Department with regards to this incident.

VIOLATION: Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer,                               Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine                                                

ACCUSED: Jeffrey Matteson (age 27)                                 

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, Vermont  

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On March 7th, 2023, at approximately 1141 hours, officers with the Bellows Falls Police Department responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance on Westminster St. Upon arrival of officers, the male was discovered to be Jeffrey Matteson, 27, of Bellows Falls. Officers attempted to arrest Matteson and a struggle ensued. With the assistance of the Walpole, New Hampshire Police Department and other citizens in the area, Matteson was placed into handcuffs. Two of the officers involved in the struggle sustained minor injuries.

Matteson was additionally charged with the crimes of trafficking fentanyl and possession of cocaine after the items fell from his person during the struggle.

Matteson was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. Matteson was ordered held in lieu of $1,000 bail and was subsequently transported to Southern State Correctional Facility. Matteson will be arraigned on the charges on 03/08/2023.
