SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:             

 On 06/11/2022, while working on the county-wide DUI grant, The Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle on Route 35 in Townshend. As a result, John Buckley was arrest for DUI Refusal, and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility. The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Windham County Sheriff's Office.

 LOCATION (specific): Rockingham St, Bellows Falls                    

 VIOLATION: Driving with a Criminally Suspended License

 ACCUSED: Joseph Hughes (age 57)                                    

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Brattleboro, Vermont

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 27th, 2022, at approximately 1423 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department working a Governor’s Highway Safety Click it or Ticket campaign detail conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rockingham St for a motor vehicle violation. After stopping the vehicle, the operator was identified as Joseph Hughes, 57, of Brattleboro, Vermont. Hughes’ license was discovered to be criminally suspended in the State of Vermont.

 Hughes was arrested and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion of processing Hughes was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DLS on 07/12/2022.

 The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted with this incident by deputies from the Windham County Sheriff's Office.

 LOCATION (specific): Rockingham St & Summer St, Bellows Falls                     

 VIOLATION: Driving with a Criminally Suspended License  & Violation of Conditions of Release

 ACCUSED: Dennis Mayotte (age 35)                                               

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Homeless, Vermont

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 27th, 2022, at approximately 2347 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Summer St for a motor vehicle violation. After stopping the vehicle, the operator was identified as Dennis Mayotte, age 35. Mayotte’s license was discovered to be criminally suspended in the State of Vermont.

 Mayotte was arrested and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion of processing Mayotte was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division to answer to the charges on 07/12/2022.

 LOCATION (specific): Morgan St, Bellows Falls    

 VIOLATION: Driving Under the Influence (2nd Offense & Criminal Refusal)  & Cruelty to a Child   

ACCUSED: Daniel J. Carr (age 31)                                      

 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, Vermont  

 SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 28th, 2022, at approximately 2325 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Daniel J. Carr, age 31, of Bellows Falls, Vermont for driving under the influence (2nd offense & Criminal Refusal) and cruelty to a child.

 Carr’s vehicle was stopped on Morgan St after an officer observed a motor vehicle violation. After meeting with Carr, indicators of impairment were observed. Standardized Field Sobriety Test’s were administered, and at the conclusion of the tests Carr was arrested for DUI and cruelty to a child.

 Carr was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose of processing. At the completion, he was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 07/12/2022 to answer to the charges.

 The Bellows Falls Police Department was assisted by the Windham County Sheriff’s Office with regards to this incident.
