ACCUSED: James Matthews (age 28)                                              

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, VT           

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 12, 2023, at approximately 2204 hours, The Bellows Falls Police Department came in contact with James Matthews at Penguin Mart. After a subsequent investigation it was discovered that Matthews had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division. Matthews was taken into custody and transported to Southern State Correctional Facility and given a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court – Criminal Division to answer to the warrant. Matthews was lodged in lieu of $200 bail.
