Mayer - Fugitive from Justice

VIOLATION: Fugitive from Justice
ACCUSED: Robert M. Mayer (age 39)
CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Rockingham, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 30th, 2024, at approximately 2300 hours, officers with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Robert M. Mayer, age 39, of Rockingham, Vermont, as being a fugitive from justice.
Officers learned that Mayer was wanted in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for charges of Possession of a Class B & E Substance, Trafficking in Cocaine (200 grams or more), and a probation violation. Officers learned that Mayer was inside of a residence at the above address and attempted to make contact with him. After a period of time, Mayer exited the residence and surrendered himself to officers on scene without incident.
Mayer was arrested and transported from the scene. Mayer was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 cash or surety bail, and subsequently turned over to the custody of the Vermont Department of Corrections. He was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 05/31/2024.
The Bellows Falls Police Department would like to thank the Walpole (NH) Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, Golden Cross Ambulance, and the Rockingham Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance with this incident.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 25th, 2024 at approximately 01:37 hours an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2021 Black Toyota Tacoma on U.S Route 5 near the Roadway Inn after observing several signs of impairment.
While speaking with the operator Joseph Lake (Age 21) of Springfield VT, the officer observed several indicators of impairment. Lake ultimately refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested at the scene. After the completion of processing, Lake was issued a Vermont Criminal Citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 16th, 2024 at approximately 1900 hours, officers with the Bellows Falls Police Department were dispatched to the area of Old Terrace and South Road for a possible intoxicated male who had crashed on his bicycle.
Subsequent investigation determined Bruce Morrison (Age 52) of Bellows Falls had violated his court ordered conditions of release. Morrison was evaluated and transported to the Springfield hospital by Golden Cross Ambulance after being given a criminal Citation to appear before the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division, on a later date.

ACCUSED: Christina L. Stark; Age: 58
CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Transient, South Dakota
On 05-25-2024 at approximately 8:19 a.m. The Bellows Falls Police Department received multiple phone calls concerning an unknown female that was interfering with traffic.
Upon arrival Officers made contact with the female later identified as Christina L. Stark. Stark was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and was then transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing.
The Honorable J. Barrett issued Conditions of Release and ordered a $100.00 Cash or Surety Bond for bail.
Stark was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court – Criminal Division on
05-28-2024 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charge(s) of Disorderly Conduct.
Stark was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

Negligent Operation
ACCUSED: Anna Barry; Age: 29

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 05-02-2024 at approximately 2:44 a.m. The Bellows Falls Police Department received a 911 call from Anna Berry stating that she had lost her keys and needed a ride home because she was too intoxicated to drive.
Barry was safely taken to her residence and escorted to her doorway by Sgt. Mayer.
Within minutes after dropping Barry off at her residence and while Sgt. Mayer was looking for the lost keys to the parked vehicle, Barry returned to her parked / locked vehicle, while operating a different vehicle to retrieve belongings.
Barry was asked to perform the Standard Field Sobriety Tests (S.F.S.T.’s). Barry provided a preliminary breath test roadside of .170% BAC.
Barry was taken into custody and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. Barry was released to a family member.
Barry was issued a citation to appear in Windham County-Superior Court-Criminal Division on 05-21-2024 at 8:30 am. to answer to the aforementioned charge(s).

VIOLATION: Arrest on Warrant (Instate)
ACCUSED: Tyler R. Holmes (age 29)
CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bellows Falls, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 10th, 2024, at approximately 2148 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Tyler R. Holmes, age 29, of Bellows Falls, Vermont for an active instate arrest warrant.
Officers were made aware that Holmes was at a local business that he needed to be trespassed from. It was subsequently discovered that Holmes had an active instate arrest warrant, issued by the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division.
Holmes was arrested and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department. Holmes was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash/surety bail set on the warrant.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 9th, 2024 Officer’s with the Bellows Falls Police Department were dispatched to the Masonic Temple on Westminster Street for a male reportedly acting impaired.

 

Officers located two males on the steps of the Masonic Temple, Subsequent investigation one of the males identified as Isaac Crawford (Age 24) had an Active In-State Warrant for his arrest. Crawford was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. At the conclusion of processing Crawford was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility where he was lodged on $100 dollars bail.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 12th, 2024 at 02:01 hours Officer’s with the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a Blue Yamaha Adventure in the parking lot of the Hetty Green Park. While speaking with the operator, Officer’s observed multiple signs of impairment.

 

Subsequent investigation determined Tanner Sawyer (Age 21) of Chester, Vermont was impaired to the point he was unsafe to operate a motor vehicle. Sawyer was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. At the completion of processing, Sawyer was issued a Vermont Criminal Citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date

Subsequent investigation determined Michael Quinones (Age 52) of Bellows Falls operated his vehicle on Atkinson Street prior to pulling into his driveway. Quinones consented to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and at the conclusion of those tests, Quinones was arrested at the scene for DUI- Drug. Quinones was then transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing and at the completion of processing, Ovaitte was issued a Vermont Criminal Citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.
