SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On October 22nd, 2022, at approximately 2254 hours, an officer with the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Ashley L. Hier, age 31, of Bellows Falls, Vermont for driving under the influence, cruelty to a child, and gross negligent operation.
Officers responded to an incident on Green St along with other emergency services. During the course of the investigation, indicators of impairment were observed, and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. At the conclusion of the tests Hier was arrested for driving under the influence and gross negligent operation, thereby additionally endangering the welfare of a child.
Hier was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for the purpose
of processing. At the completion, she was issued a citation to appear in
Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 11/08/2022 to answer to
the charges.
