SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On
June 2nd, 2024, at 0115 hours Officer Raymond with the Bellows Falls
Police Department observed a vehicle traveling south through the square at a
high rate of speed. Officer Raymond began following the vehicle and observed
that the vehicle failed to have a registration plate which is a violation of 23
V.S.A 511. Officer Raymond then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in
front of the Shell gas station on Atkinson Street.
Subsequent investigation
revealed the operator Stephen Pratt of Athens VT committed the offense of driving
under the influence and was placed under arrest. After the completion of
processing, Pratt was issued a Vermont Criminal Citation to appear at the
Windham Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.
